TMF as a Tool to Optimize Study Quality

Aaron’s career has been defined by a passion for process improvement and automation in clinical research. He quickly recognized the Trial Master File (TMF) as a critical tool for optimizing study quality and became an active voice in the industry as a member of the TMF Reference Model Steering Committee.

Previously, as VP at Phlexglobal, Aaron drove effective TMF solutions but noted persistent challenges across clients. “We were often solving the same problems again and again,” he reflected. “This motivated me to pursue innovative approaches—tools and processes that address these issues more effectively and support sponsors in achieving inspection readiness.”

Staying at the Forefront of Clinical Trial Innovation

In joining Just in Time GCP, Aaron expressed his enthusiasm for leading a team that shares his vision. “I have a deep appreciation for this organization’s mission. It aligns perfectly with my ambition to stay at the forefront of clinical trial innovation during a time of rapid change—when AI and other technologies are transforming what’s possible. My goal is to help sponsors leverage innovation to improve oversight, strengthen TMF integrity, and enhance compliance.”

Looking Ahead

With Aaron Grant as Head of Innovation, Just in Time GCP is well positioned to deliver next-generation solutions that address sponsors’ most pressing challenges: maintaining contemporaneous TMFs, ensuring inspection readiness, and adopting risk-proportionate oversight strategies. Aaron’s leadership will help sponsors harness technology—particularly AI and TMF innovation—to drive efficiency, quality, and compliance in clinical research.
