AI in Clinical Compliance

Just in Time GCP Expands Innovation Team to Advance AI in Clinical Compliance

At Just in Time GCP, innovation is treated as more than a concept. It is how sponsors are supported in achieving clinical compliance, TMF oversight, and inspection readiness with confidence. As trials grow more complex and expectations rise, new people and technology are being invested in to shape the future of compliance.

To accelerate this vision, two new members are being welcomed to the Innovation Team: Ali Firooz and Josh Keliher.

Just in Time GCP Expands Innovation Team for AI in Clinical Compliance

Welcoming New Talent to the Innovation Team

Ali Firooz – Software Engineer

Ali joins Just in Time GCP from the University of South Carolina, where he is completing his PhD in Computer Science. Machine learning and predictive modeling have been applied in his research, including cancer profiling. Expertise in cloud-native application development is also brought to the team.

At Just in Time GCP, Ali will support the advancement of AI in clinical trials. Solutions will be built that automate time-consuming tasks and provide risk intelligence. Issues of timeliness, completeness, and quality will be detected before they become inspection findings.

Josh Keliher – Contract Product Manager

Josh joins our Innovation Team as a contract Product Manager. Experience across pharma, medical devices, and consumer health has been gained during his career. Solution design, regulatory and quality systems work, and large-scale software deployments have been led by him.

Josh will guide product strategy. Each solution brought forward will be positioned as out-of-the-box, inspection-ready, and aligned with sponsor needs. Nothing delivered will be just another proof-of-concept.

How Just in Time GCP Innovation is Different

Not all AI is created equal. Our approach is defined by five core principles that make our innovation both credible and practical:

  • Problem-driven: We focus on sponsor challenges — TMF completeness, document quality, and record timeliness — and apply AI where it adds measurable value.
  • Expert-led: Every solution is powered by 20 years of GCP and TMF expertise, ensuring regulatory alignment and sponsor confidence.
  • Trusted and ethical: Data is never repurposed, retained, or used to train models — aligning with the EU AI Act and FDA expectations for credible AI.
  • Collaborative: We engage sponsors as partners in innovation, with immediate value and low risk.
  • Future-ready: Our innovation pipeline addresses critical trial needs such as automating site personnel oversight, protocol and IB version tracking, translation verification, and monitoring report QC.

Looking Ahead: AI with Purpose, Not Hype

Our commitment is clear: AI that works out of the box, powered by 20 years of clinical compliance expertise, delivering value from day one.

With Ali and Josh joining the Innovation Team, the mission of Just in Time GCP is being accelerated. Sponsors will be supported in achieving risk-proportionate oversight, inspection-ready confidence, and future-ready compliance.

Our Innovation Team is growing — and so is our impact.
